Regal Geraniums

Regal Geranium Pelargonium x domesticum have been a popular plant in North America since the early 1800’s. Commonly called “Martha Washington’s” these geraniums have large showy flowers in pinks, purples, reds, and burgundy on top of clumps of clean, crisp, dark green foliage. They make a lovely house plant or a great addition to the garden. Being that we are in Canada, it does get cold in the winter, and these guys will not survive outdoors. You can bring them in to overwinter them in a sunny window.

Regal Geraniums will grow anywhere from 30 cm to 100 cm tall (mostly around 45 cm) and roughly 45 cm to 60 cm wide. They like lots of light but appreciate shade in the heat of the summer. Fertilize every other week. Deadhead them to promote new flowers.

These are available in our greenhouse annually around Mother’s Day.
